Tommy Chapman has been in the waste industry since 1989, starting his career with Chemical Waste Management (a WMI company) as Assistant Controller for the Transportation division at the Emelle, Alabama hazardous waste facility. He subsequently served WMI as Division Controller, Accounting Center Manager, Region Manager of Financial Reporting, Region Office Controller, Corporate Office Controller, and Corporate Controller.

In 1997 he left WMI to become involved with a startup company, The Santi Group, in the liquid waste industry. His responsibilities included acquisitions, implementation of accounting procedures after acquisition and working with corporate operating managers to oversee all divisions. Following the sale of Santi in 1998, Chapman formed a company providing waste support services to a number of waste companies in the Atlanta area. In 2001, Chapman joined Republic Services in Atlanta, where he served as Controller for multiple hauling divisions, transfer stations, and a landfill.

In 2004, Chapman joined Jeff Claunch and Rush Rice at Sunbelt Environmental as Chief Financial Officer. Upon the sale of Sunbelt, the acquiring company named Chapman as its Regional Controller for South Mississippi, South Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.

In 2009, Chapman rejoined Claunch at Green Mountain Management and currently serves as Controller of EcoSouth Services and Vulcan Disposal.

Chapman has a degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama.
